About Legend Bridal Designs
Legend Bridal has over a decade of experience in alternative bridal fashion, but their journey started long before the brand was officially established. Rachel, a fashion graduate in 2002, built her career in the wedding industry, eventually managing the sewing rooms for a chain of traditional bridal shops. At the time, individuality in bridalwear was almost unheard of – you either had the big white wedding or nothing at all.
That all changed when Charlotte began planning her own wedding in 2005. Having worn only black since the age of 13, the thought of wearing a traditional gown felt completely unnatural. It was a defining moment – one that made Charlotte and Rachel realise there must be others who felt the same way. And so, their vision for a darker, more expressive take on bridalwear began to take shape.
In 2011, their unique designs were showcased at Manchester Fashion Week, marking the debut of the first Legend collection. By 2013, they made the bold decision to leave traditional bridalwear behind and focus entirely on Legend Bridal. Since then, they have been creating striking, unconventional gowns for couples who refuse to conform – and who finally feel seen in a space that once had no place for them.
Now, as the bridal industry slowly catches up, Legend Bridal remains a pioneer, proving that weddings should be a reflection of personal identity, not outdated expectations.

FAQ's
How long does it take to get my dress?
Some of our collection dresses can take 6 months to create, but the majority require 9-12 months, especially as some of the laces are designed and made specifically for us.
We also prefer 12 months for the bespoke process
Capes, veils and accessories have a much shorter timescale of 3 months.
What size's do you cater for?
If you are interested in trying on our gowns the size of each sample can be found in the product description of our website, along with a copy of our size chart. Our samples range from size 10 to size 30. Our collection can be ordered in sizes 6 to 30 as standard but we also offer bespoke sizing if that is something you would prefer.
What's you average price range?
Our collection dresses typically range between £1500 to £3000.
